sky cotl ~ season of duets

just play through all season of duets quests . and that was ... kind of lackluster .
characters very pretty , concert hall area very pretty , and can appreciate story , but gameplay really bring down . problem is that player must play on instruments to progress . not only that , but have to get correct above certain threshold , not allow much room for mistakes , and force to repeat if fail .

in sky , music is not easy ! with visual process , kossai can lag behind and overwhelm easily - so whether touchscreen or keyboard , music interface is visually very hard to follow . and this is clean version of interface - normally interface will also have symbols and , on computer , keys as well .

just way , way too much to follow . which is really sad , because this season is visually pretty , and fit world of sky well . almost every sky player will have story of stumble into at least one impromptu player concert , from simple staples like you are my sunshine to full on ghibli soundtracks .
shame that newer quests which mandate music system do not also have alternative modes for players who struggle . remember little prince also have quest like this , but did not punish player for failure , so this is new thing for sure .

This was a very frustrating part of the season of Duets. :(

I went to the quests with two friends and they both got stuck on the music sections. I had a touch screen so I got it done a little faster than people playing with button inputs.

yeah ... understand and love idea ! just wish music sections could be less awful for people who genuinely struggle . if something must be mandatory , then also must have some kind of accessibility measure . even something like " 3+ failures trigger skip prompt " is , sad and maybe kind of cruel , but at least better than force through struggle .
