faerie attractions and affections

faerie attraction can be intense , to say least . in general find that feelings tend to take up huge space in faerie minds - so can easily spiral into obsessions .
kind of hard to articulate some aspects . indeed this intensity is reason for why faeries might steal away subject of affections - and why those who do not , continue to struggle .

how faeries express this attraction and affection can also be ... different . some examples from inside kossai :

• possessive claims , marks , and bites 
• extravagant gifts to further prove claim 
• protective charms and magics - not bad in self , but can definitely overextend use and do more harm than good
• feel need to serve all desires - even impossible ones , and even impulsive whims with no real weight
• feel need to caretake hand and foot
• desire to keep at side , never leave each other - pet , treasure in hoard , whatever comparison work best
• trances to bliss out - see also faerie food , faerie drugs , etc

... obviously very little of this is appropriate to act without some serious discussions . even then , faeries who keep subject of affections in relationship strictly to these bounds can get bored and discard .
faeries need real communications , discussions , and stimulations too ! even if feelings seem to say pretty pet forever , that ... will almost surely not last forever . but not all faeries understand these kind of things , and will assume all interest is gone .

this really is why kossai wary to have any kind of partner that is not nonhuman , even if say would understand . just ... do things different , and would worry about behaviours hurt .
kossai do start to more obviously express these things when " wild " - defilter , unmask , whatever ... ought to figure out better words for that .
anyway . point is need fellow nonhumans who can keep up , as lover legion ( demons ) can . other than that , sometimes express these feelings with characters ... theo from celeste is still somehow best subject for this .

Extremely belated response, because my brain ground to a halt, but it's nice to read posts like this. All my specific partners in my partnersys are therian (two dragons, one wolf) and they all have different ways of expressing love, thinking about, and structuring their relationships. Even the two dragons conceive of things differently, though both have gotten beneficial things out of having kobolds (whether literal or play/kink role). It is nice to be able to talk about these aspects of relationships.
