kossailittle quick one , would suggest to go and read other posts in multiverse tag if this is confusion .
mention in morrowind post about call - what do kossai mean by this ? generally , call is what feel like right course of action , thought process , or otherwise , for given character/s in any media . in non-multiverse perspective , this would be more or less flow of roleplay , ability to get in character , and such .
call can be as creator of media , or as audience member - from audience perspective , kossai find calls strongest when play games specifically , because games give more control than other media .
even with same character and same source material of course , different people can resonate with different calls - different perspectives , different needs , so on and so forth . in this vein , feel this is one part of why fictionfolk can be so different from each other .
to sort of sum up :
in eyes of most people , roleplay is just that , pretend to take on character and tell story of person who do not exist .
to kossai , roleplay can be submission to that call , to look into far reaches of universe and pull back story of person who do exist , somewhere that is not here .
but make no mistake , that do not make stories less important or meaningful to kossai . thaliendir and sheogorath have massive positive impact ! think not much is actually different between how kossai approach roleplay , and how anyone else would - just have different explanations for whys , hows , and whats .
mistakes happen , and mistake of kossai is likely to be mistake of that person in life as well - no take backs , unless something actually break . can not meaningfully prevent deaths of characters , as if set in fate and kossai just follow threads . games do not always allow accurate simulations of what kossai feel to be truth , but like to find ways if possible , and feel out difference between kossai play and life truth .
