ellona & lydia ~ overview of relationship

well , ellona is this fat , cognitively disabled bosmer woman - by all means no one would really expect anything from ellona , except happen to be dragonborn apparently ! that situation is whole weird mess in self , like , why not some … strong nord man or woman ? 

lydia feel much this same way at first . feel certain this woman will obviously get into some bullshit and die horribly ... but , well , would not be honourable by any means to just abandon and pretend death was simply unpreventable - and given that dragonborn might somehow be true , would also be end of world . so lydia commit - fine , will serve to best ability , will lay down life to protect if necessary . ( but would that be waste ? ) 

... and yes , in some ways ellona is weak and somewhat incompetent - but also just have , this almost endless optimism ? every struggle is another chance to get up again and watch sunrise , so to say . and , well , lydia do think this is kind of naive ... and yet ... maybe this is what world need , in citisens and heroes alike , to smile anyway and get up for another go . so lydia start to warm up , and ellona is happy to share history , happy to spend time with someone who do not just deride and hurt , someone who can actually look at face and not feel hatred . and wow do lydia ever feel guilty - hide so well that ellona never even realise ? 

from then on , lydia become fierce defender , verbally and emotionally moreso than physically . ellona can handle magic - way better than lydia for sure - and even survive some pretty dangerous stunts , but out in situations where ellona need to stand up for self ? that part is pretty hard . people tend not to take seriously , and that assume these people even know any sign languages to begin with - some do not ! 

... soon enough , start to feel these pangs when apart . ellona is slower to catch on , but lydia know pretty quick what this means and just think … oh fuck . 
in time , would marry - lydia would be content to settle down without marriage , but legally better idea to have recognition given ellona's situation - and initially live in whiterun . for quite some time , settle down soft and sweet …
too bad sheogorath is quite happy to throw some spanners , huh ?
