home safety hotline ~ really so safe ?

kossaiwith announcement of new DLC , home safety hotline is on mind again . so , little bit of theory craft here .
well , this hotline seem helpful on surface , of course - people can call in with supernatural afflictions , and get answer on how to keep safe . but this is surface level : operators can not tell specifics about creatures or diseases , only as much information as necessary to address problem .
at times , this result in callers who refuse to address : gary , for example , call in week prior , and someone suggest to leave cream out as gift with no other information . without any context , this is ridiculous request ! why should gary listen ? so gary did not listen , and now what once was helpful hobb transform into very angry boggart , with intent to kill gary .
if really interest in safety of callers , would probably explain more , no ? but ... faeries do not like people to know presence . faeries especially do not like to give people power to ward off and hurt .
maybe , then , this is why home safety hotline is run by faeries .
there is probably this real fear that any human run organisation would consolidate this information , would explain everything . would give instructions not just how to placate , but to ward off and to kill for good . after all , there is even already study on " smart mice " - that is , former hotline employees who carol transform into mice , in order to avoid spread of secrets .
faeries do not want spread of secrets , do not want people to know presence , to know how to hurt . so faeries like carol ( if that even is name ! ) create home safety hotline , purposefully to fill this gap . police , doctors , any authority figures - these people route supernatural cases over to home safety hotline . after all , lack equipment to deal with supernatural - and will keep that way , because home safety hotline happily settle into that niche .
home safety hotline is more or less effort of faeries to protect selves , and protect vision of world where able to run free and do whatever that want , under guise of help humans through supernatural problems that police can only shrug off .
