sky cotl ~ candle runs and candle grinds

kossaias main currency of sky , candles pretty important to gather , of course - but personally never really like hardcore candle runs .
this kind of go back to ice cube idea , wherever that post might be . this intentionally silly analogy that in order to not waste electricity bill , one must freeze ice cubes at every moment , in fact potentially should even wake up in night just to ensure maximum production of ice cubes . monotonous , boring , and not useful to actual everyday life - who would ever need that many ice cubes ? love that analogy .
so , hardcore candle run is one of those ice cube activities . people who just zip through and light every candle , burn every bit of darkness , never slow down and never stop , because time must be maximised , and chevrons must be entirely fulfilled ... ugh , hate that shit .
this is not to say that kossai never do candle runs . actually quite enjoy candle runs , under slower circumstances . really fun to go through these areas , because genuinely beautiful ! definitely miss some spots sometimes , definitely also get distracted sometimes , but find that to be feature , not problem - this is game , after all , world that player is meant to explore and enjoy .
sure , pretty much never max out chevrons , but like ... whatever ? unless specifically save up for something time limited , just prefer not to put in that " full " amount of effort . done these 200 candle grinds before , and would prefer to keep those rare . will run around realms to search for candles and darkness plants , will sometimes drop in on AFK areas or wax events like grandma , but no real pressure . could have so many more candles if just push , but that would just be ice cubes .
