kossai: masculine form of kossai, cute wink (Default)
[personal profile] kossai
if look several years back , will find that many ikemen avatar players complain about how others react , as sometimes other players follow around and heckle for sake of flirt and fawn .
ikemen : in standard use , japanese pop culture term for attractive men . in sky , style based around tall avatar type , old cosmetics , maskless face , and often elder hair . some also use ikejou as feminine counterpart , but can not find ( in admittedly brief search ) sources that this term is in japanese use , only sky use .

something that find now is that similar reactions can come when play as chibi , especially if seem to play up childish traits .
chibi : in standard use , animanga art style with exaggerated proportions , big heads and small bodies . in sky , smallest player height achievable through standard means ( ie no temporary alteration spells ) . despite name , these characters have more toddler-like proportions than chibi ones , and official ingame term ( seen in spell descriptions ) is baby .
sidenote : probably case to make for how people love to take japanese terms over english ones for " cute factor " . probably also case to make that people fear english baby will be read in kinky way , and will thus only acknowledge if say chibi .

kossai do have plush on person right now , and sometimes bring out to hold and squish simply because can . do not always get much reaction to start with , which is fine . sometimes get people who just react once and move on - this avatar really is cute , not wrong ! some people also react to exclusivity of cosmetics , which can be kind of funny . some people follow around and react constantly , which is less comfortable .

but what frustrate most is people who react with steal and mean games . not possible if just hold in hands , but many actions will cause player to drop held item . in those moments , someone else can come and pick up - which is not always problem , and in fact would not want that gone , because people can play fun games with that ! some people will just squish once or twice and then drop again for kossai to reclaim . those people might want to carry plush around , but do not because other items more useful , so interactions limited - no reason to deny little chance .

other people , especially if come as friends in group , will pick up , toss , and laugh at kossai when run to find - or just toss to each other so kossai never get chance to pick up again . kind of moot when player who own item can summon back to inventory at any point , but also just annoy . this tend to be worst at geyser area - probably because geyser is hard to effectively make AFK setup for , so players will usually not be AFK at all , instead try to entertain selves between eruptions . even just today that happen , and when kossai then take back , those players get in face and honk incessantly as if to say give back . not really of concern that kossai might have personal reasons , need to let others have way - like when person is just virtual avatar , and any items equally virtual , well , downright silly to not be OK with something .

in grand scheme of things know this is pretty well nothing problem , but still annoy when in game . carry around plush in game because not as easy in reality - at least here , do not have to worry about damage or permanently lose . that in mind , still wish some of these people would be nicer to start with - mr manta deserve better !
