time to get emotional about this secondhand blanket from childhood . never know who make this blanket , or why , or when even . just know that at some point , kossai get this beautiful blanket with purple flowers , all crochet by hand . and just feel in awe , and also so so sad that never get to learn who make , that this person never get to see appreciation .

maybe this was personal project of creator who would later die , and family choose to donate . maybe this was childhood memento for someone else , creator possibly already gone , and choose to be done . can never really know .
just know , now , that this blanket comfort kossai for years and years , keep warm . remember days when wrap over shoulders like cape , and remember how always bring so much happiness even when winters cold enough to hurt .

can not very well get answers and stories , but want to hope blanket is just as happy as kossai , to know that treasure like this .
if anyone else have favourite blanket , please go give gentle kiss !

Childhood comfort objects like that are great. I have had a handful of affectionate blankets over time - one was a small blue fleece blanket which I nicknamed "college blanket" because my parents bought it for me before leaving for college. Right now my favorite is a black and white patterned duvet with similar affection levels - mostly because i really like the texture and it keeps me very warm. I also have this somewhat rattier, more towel-textured pink blanket. It's a blanket that my dad brought with him when he left China to come to the US. I do not use it very much anymore, but it is a blanket I hold a lot of affection for.
