kossaiwhen thali first enter shivering isles , as all other player characters , haskill greet and ask to sit . thali take chance to defy , but for fun , not for cruelty , not for rejection . thali stand on chair , stand on table , stare into portal as metronome tick tick tick and lose self in momentary trance .
right away , haskill see that potential , see that this is man who will survive greymarch , even succeed sheogorath .
people say haskill is just very dry and sarcastic , and true to extent , but think also maybe some degree of blunt affect . maybe sarcasm and dry humour is how haskill learn to express self in way others will understand - and even , that some of sarcasm is not sarcasm at all , but genuine .
and maybe when sheogorath quip that haskill enjoy magical summons , and that summons show appreciation , this is actually true . that haskill really feel this way , but struggle to sincerely express .
and if sheogorath understand this about haskill , then so do thali . haskill is very respectable and important as chamberlain , of course , but also friend . haskill was first to learn of feelings between sheogorath and thali , though encourage caution . haskill was there for thaliendir when jyggalag fall . haskill and dyus would be only two to know about true extent of thaliendir-sheo plurality .
