kossaiwell , did start on some morrowind ! and then have to start over for openMW , but was only in balmora front gate anyway so nothing really lost .
first : kossai indeed base this character off of kiliban nyrandil from oblivion shivering isles . sort of prequel backstory , what kiliban was up to before isles . expect will have to fudge some things in timeline to work out , of course .
so , what is experience so far ...
this game is brutal even at easiest level and can not imagine try to play without any guides or help at all .
well , join both thieves guild and mages guild - kiliban is sorcerer in shivering isles , so sorcerer here too . not have best sense of cardinal directions , more learn things by feel and travel , so some things ... hard to find .
right now stuck point is andrano tomb - lover legion say not high enough short blade skill to be reliable here , so have to find ways of that ... should want to grind at least 5 levels , and this is really just at start of main story .
but funnily , lover legion try to trick with scroll of icarian flight . unfortunately for dearest darling demons , kossai make habit to jump everywhere in oblivion and morrowind alike , so actually at level 54 acrobatics already and easily survive . :3
really wish could have more granular fast travel and quest markers back , wow . love to make long walks in oblivion , and still just as fun here - but , this means mistakes eat up so much more time , and that is frustration . best compromise is console commands . and lack of quest markers , well , already forget most of what is active . would be nice if could pin one quest , with at least quick access to that specific journal page .
but , do think most of trouble right now is just adjustment pains , not like ... complaints against morrowind . sometimes just need to moan and groan .
try to also figure out some things about character of kiliban through this early game .

- so far , of unstable and paranoid mind - already prone , but prison did not help . would picture this to be fairly long sentence .
- to follow on that , easy to provoke . threaten woman who complain about abolitionists , start physical fight with someone who demand respect on name . jumpy when people address directly , especially when so often just insult .
- otherwise appear stuttery and anxious , especially in close quarters with others . at times will talk to self .
- no qualms about loot , steal , or pick fights - " do not do this " is something of invitation .
- will only kill if sufficient threat , but sufficient for kiliban is not always in line with others .
- if not already worshipper of sheogorath in secret , then at least pique interests ...
