kossaiellona and lydia ... well , lydia did not immediately fall for ellona or anything like that . if anything sort of frustrate , though ellona did not always see this .
but as time go , see struggles and truths of heart alike , start to truly enjoy and want around . and ellona , well ... never really get to feel these feelings before , fall hard for lydia . eventually go through legal marriage for sake of formal recognition as times change and non-marriage union is not necessarily enough anymore , especially with ellona in weird position for disability . very rudimentary advance directive , in some sense .
and then ellona wake up with everything undone . sheogorathean playground , not that ellona know this yet . ellona will not learn this until sheogorath is done and allow to awaken . pretty vaerminan in style , but there always was level of overlap in domains - sheogorath say as much .
anyway . part of why sheogorath do this is to force ellona to take in lessons of madness . things might go differently by choice of ellona - especially as already know outcome - or by force of sheogorath .
so to see lydia not recognise ... devastation . no matter how ellona explain , there is nothing that seem to make this lydia understand - and attempts to explain to others go even worse . fears bleed through , sometimes force to try same things again and again until figure out what to really do .
all this while , real ellona is ... effectively comatose , unaware of how much love and support pour in , how dutifully people care .
