wonder why people who " refuse " to see skin colour and race say most weirdly racist things .
usually not intentionally harmful , but play off stereotypes , and misconceptions , and just really really awful ignorances - and can become very harmful .

like - " people love hawaiians , there is no racism there ! " say non-racist janice while ignore one crucial thing : people love idea of hawaiians , this culture that can go to watch like funny little spectacle . love idea so much , that will not think twice about actual consequences of these actions .

understand this want of not see race , because , in better world maybe would not be concept at all , no one would classify these things let alone get hurt for these things .
but not in that kind of world . can not close eyes and cover ears to pretend definitions not exist , even if " just " fake society definitions . many of such fake society definitions still have very real consequences .

aimless little ramble . would like better world . but can not make better world by pretend problems simply not here .

farmer kossai

see with farmer kossai as just ... kossai for once , whole original backstory do not make sense .
farmer kossai do not have family , not human one anyway . probably more accurate to what happen is just suddenly appear and take over old farm , and everyone too terrify to tell faerie to piss off and leave .

which then actually work out really well , because , well , farmer fix fucking everything in pelican town .
