strange abound …

 ... hear this strange , almost otherworldly wail . can not imagine what would explain this sound among mundane objects and events ... but know was not alone in hear , and did catch small snippet in audio - can safely rule out random hallucination .

for something that clearly others could hear as well , probably not actually otherworldly origin ... but without any clue or hints even , will like to imagine world of home safety hotline . :P

faeries and religious symbols

well , this is just how kossai understand and experience . but think about this due to changeling the dreaming echoes trait - where , among other various traits , religious symbols , holy grounds , and church bells will hurt changelings .

as kossai see , these things would not distress because there is inherently pain in these shapes , these places , and these sounds . instead , there is distress because humans already have faith this religion , these symbols , will ward off and hurt .
could say in some sense that people charge - or invoke someone to charge - these symbols with anti faerie energies , or perhaps more broadly anti " un-godly " energies .

will not feel pain from look upon someone with cross necklace , but likely to feel uneasy if that person turn to cross and direct something to kossai . this might or might not be conscious direction - whether attempt to bless kossai , or look for protection from that which do not look to same god or gods .

in that sense , some symbols might be more or less likely to have such " charge " , but will be exceptions in either direction . some pentacles might distress , just as some crosses might not .

bah !

kossai is possibly-probably sick with some human virus . very , very rude human virus . especially because kossai is careful and do mask up - unfortunately , very few others do .
do not have reasons to believe COVID , at least , just random cold . not terribly sick right now regardless , and maybe will be lucky enough to ward off worst - just scratchy throat currently . try to pull out every stop that might moisten up and ease pain ... but tragically , can not tolerate actual cold medicines .

kossai just change names of journal icons for easier expand , and now posts that know make with feminine icon have default masculine .

so probably check that " rename keywords " thing . will even test right after this go up and give results .
... can not even remember most of posts that use different icons to just change back . this give more dysphoria than probably ought to , because this was already problem on cohost , that feminine icon would not persist per post .
