another fern cover !

for those unfamiliar , this song is about suicide . however - fern is single sample voicebank with no clarity of language , so lyrics could very well be anything . maybe sing about love for fine faerie cheeses ?

one benefit to openUTAU with single sample banks like this is ability to use + note extensions , so same vowel sequences like ka a can simply be ka + instead .

rusted moss ~ so about that bonus stuff ...

many rooms get too hard to navigate - understand idea , just no execution . and that much is fine , expect that really . but then get to interlude 3 , which have timer doors .
very , very , very strict timer doors . there is no accessibility option for this , unlike challenge climbs . in many of these , flight is not fast enough to reach door , and even one mistake will kill momentum and kill chance . masochism necessary indeed .

unsure of feeling on this . go into this with knowledge this would be hard and only get harder , but , still main game have pretty wonderful accessibility options .
some people would say super hard bonus content by nature should be inaccessible , but ... buh . not sure agree on that , when main game have great options , consider different play styles and needs . wish could slow down and turn off these timer doors - yes , both . many accessibility options have several toggle levels , not just one - another good thing !
just kind of sad because have to give up and quit without ability to save latest progress , because last room before next save point genuinely impossible , and also lock from backtrack .

instead , pivot back into base game with final boss fights . know there was update to true final boss , but wow , did not expect that much difference .
and also cry like baby again over this dialogue . love fern so much . adore fern . fern is everything .

world and realms ~ in experience of kossai

this world is not just as simple as what humans can observe by naked eye , on many levels . in this case : other realms .
many kind of creatures and nonhuman , magical peoples exist - just not accessible to humans without great work or luck .

picture this world to be cake .
on one layer live humans , all of structures and creatures humans create and regularly observe . between layers there will be icing - this hold together cake as one whole , but also separate from each other . then on another layer , live faeries - as well as structures and creatures faeries regularly observe .
and this can go on and on . then , that icing between layers is veil - some parts might be really thick and gloopy , others thin and runny . this will determine ease of cross layers .

humans will naturally observe and live in this human realm - though that is kind of misnomer , as not just humans live here , and some people from other realms can cross over . kossai take to name of kora innuna instead .
this in mind , some might have connections or sensory experiences of another , as well .
faeries , along with things faeries create and observe , then populate kora fisenna . many if not all faeries have at least some ability to observe kora innuna , for reasons not quite clear - more on that later .

these realms coexist in place - geographical overlap , might say . this means human could have faerie companion at side at all times , but no one would know .
still , important to know that each realm is physical within self - just not to others outside . that human and faerie companion can not touch one another , unless faerie can cross veil from kora fisenna into kora innuna .

exactly how things overlap , mirror , and intersect will vary . with geographical overlap , for example , some faeries live near or within human structures of human settlements .
these areas of kora fisenna can then mirror what exist in kora innuna , though likely not in exact form - say , machinery would be defunct and potentially look overgrown . any structures unique to kora fisenna meanwhile , will likely not find mirrors in kora innuna .

so , is kora innuna some kind of dominant or " default " realm ? unsure - sort of wibble back and forth on this .

• maybe kora innuna was first realm to exist , hence how things here so easily reflect elsewhere , and how those from other realms can so easily observe . human population and dominance then is just happenstance , and could in theory be any population .
• maybe only seem dominant just because of how human actions can ripple and mirror in others .
• maybe was not dominant in past , but humans strengthen veil and inadvertently make dominant .
• or maybe there is no real dominance at all , and all realms can equally affect or mirror one another - but very few would ever know depths of this , because this require many connections to observe .

maybe will never figure out which of these seem most right . life is full of mysteries - right now , at least , feel like know mostly what need to know . :)

rusted moss ~ thoughts on changes to true final boss

crosspost from tumblr .

after some mishaps with bonus area which unfortunately force to quit , kossai pivot back to base game to finish final bosses .

did play true final boss once before update . actually kind of unsure of thoughts on new version , from september this year . think visually and emotionally more impactful , but remember have great fun with original and sort of expect similar - new version was not same kind of fun .
