alex yearn for something that is , in essence , impossible - to magically transform into this idealised girl . true femininity is expected by society as youthful , innocent , and sweet - no wonder many who yearn for femininity also yearn for youth in some way , not just to rewrite painful childhood , but also because that is one of major associations . assertive women bossy and bitchy , alternative women loud and unwomanly , and so on , always some kind of hatred for women who do not perform youthful innocence . for someone who want to be unquestionably feminine , idealised girlhood seem like best - or perhaps only - answer .
alex put on miracle-chan's dress , but can not zip up fully - though as one commenter point out , would likely be able to if only ask someone for help . that would require admit feelings , though , and alex feel that is impossible - no one would understand or take seriously , at least as far as alex assume . is there chance anna or one of other friends would chew out for desire to appeal to these standards ? maybe alex already receive this kind of criticism before , or maybe just use possibility as reason to not try - no one else is present enough to really know opinions .
