one strength of microblog platforms , which will miss very very much here , is ability to just reblog and add on new thoughts that way .
when import posts that already exist , can just treat as if already one single post - but with new ones , have to make choice . could make addendum as new post with no visible relation to previous , or add on to what already exist and remember to click " update date " . neither one is impossible of course and both have uses , but after so long between places like tumblr and cohost , not immediately natural .

Yeah, so it goes. It was definitely one of my favorite ways to have conversations on those platforms. I suppose the difference is just using comments more liberally, or else linking longer post replies to comments as they come up.
