what is body OS , and who is eira ?

personal take of court kossai - might not reflect all other interpretations and usages .

body OS , to be simple , is one way to describe " base " truths of plural collective . these things will generally , if not always , carry between those who front .
some body OS contain just brain-wide traits and disabilities , while others seem to have full identity - one which bind collective together , and allow for easier pass .

in case of kossai , eira is body OS . eira contain :

• faerie brain differences - such as language ability , social ability , cognitive ability , and so on
• collective memories and knowledge
• collective hobbies and interests

eira is also , in some ways , another member of court with unique identity . what make different is that in some way , eira is not " complete " enough to front or communicate as fully separate entity . instead , eira is part of front , which anyone else will filter through . as well as these above , true collective traits , eira have :

• preferences such as fashion style
• gender and sexuality
• unique form - see icons

in past , did think that these things come from population average - but that do not seem so , as even when population shift , eira do not .
and yet even despite this , all in kossai feel represent by eira - so there is some theory that eira exist since young to give better cover and disguise among singlet others .

that in mind , there still is at times dissonance between eira and individual fronter identities . eira is gay man , but not all individuals same way .
one low libido aroace member describe sense that these attractions and thoughts still feel strong , yet distinctly separate from self with no real personal investment - just happen to be in position to bear witness as eira run free .
this is also why , for example , feeling of wings so important to kossai , even though most members individually do not have wings - simply , eira do have wings .

so ... that is eira ! some things will probably forever be mystery , but will say that happy to have eira .
