shrines and altars

wish there was real way to make offerings at daedric shrines ... not just ones to start quests , but plop down items whenever . can just drop items as normal , but from what look up oblivion do not cull items on floor ... so that will eventually crowd .
would be nice to be able go up to shrine and choose item to offer , where remove from inventory as with quests , but with bigger item pool . even just container that clear every few days would be nice .

why ?
roleplay purposes , really . when thali hike up to sheogorath shrine , should be able to leave real offering and have that offering accept , not just lay around to rot !
