kossailittle nostalgia trip take back to bratz genie magic . certainly some ... choices to talk about , and general shaky grounds that come with concept like this . things like , why is katia so white and american when father is less so ? as well as use of certain cruel words , and ultimate final goal here : to sell dolls in trendy orientalist styles .
... but what actually draw to rewatch for first time in many , many years , was plot . vaguely remember this was sort of spy thriller thing ? and ... yeah . in family friendly bratz way , but yeah .
genie girl spend whole life inside of governmental agency as mere tool - but finally escape into real world , to make friends and understand life . plot twists here and there , of course , but -
as soon as bratz girls find out katia is genie , almost every scene with bratz after this , and up until climax , feature fight over how to use wishes . but this all happen behind katia's back , so never actually find out , and still believe magical powers actually unimportant to group .
ultimately , this is irrelevant because group use up most of wishes on trivial things , and still each accomplish personal goal - as if to teach viewers lesson on what really make dreams come true : hard work .
... but , just come off as kind of cruel and unfortunate to katia .
anyway , yeah wow this was weird . definitely not high cinema or anything , but sort of fun to revisit .
