Oct. 25th, 2024 02:23 amthis game terrify and make paranoid , but in very fun way ?
so new to this specific game world , not sure what anything sound like or look like - not sure which animals will attack or not , and really not even have enough time to prepare for life with actual monsters . not sure what those might be able to do , either !
so , everything set off and everything feel unsafe - but that kind of excite .

Date: Oct. 25th, 2024 12:04 pm (UTC)Ah, I didn't see you were on Exploration mode until after I wrote this. Probably a good idea to get used to the differences in playstyle, and not having to worry about temporal stability is nice. Still hard, but not as brutal. Remember, death is expected - don't get too frustrated about it, especially since you get to keep inventory in this mode.

Date: Oct. 25th, 2024 03:45 pm (UTC)have fun with this house , but come at cost of time - pretty much no food , not much material , but at least learn some prep from watch lovers ! bed to sleep in , bowls to eat from , board windows to stare out of …
see , realise glass is hard to get here , long way away from that - and often use fences and gates as windows in minecraft , so why not repeat here ? but easiest fences to make , rough hewn , really look as if board up in paranoia … which is probably fair !
this is very fun though , this sort of clueless paranoia . everything could hurt ! must be careful of everything !
really appreciate tips ! <3

Date: Oct. 26th, 2024 01:39 am (UTC)Ah! Well then, key thing that isn't explained terribly well - you need "solid" materials to hold heat in and count a space as "indoors." Fences or slanted roof-blocks do not count. Once it gets cold, you'll need to seal off the "attic" with some sort of wood or other "crafted" material in order to trap heat; same with the rough door and fence windows. The specifics are outlined under the Temperature section of the wiki, but it's important to avoid freezing to death at night once the snow starts falling.
Hope you have fun!
