kossaiall year ranges approximate , and cover tamrielic time specifically , not shivering isles time . :)
not quite complete just yet - two major gaps skip over several decades here , need to smooth out thoughts on those periods before record here .

fresh mantle . no observable difference from outside , though occasionally powers spark off . one common manifestation of this is , effectively , random frenzy or calm spells - sort of able to pass these off as innocent misfires .
within thaliendir lurk faces of sheogorath , however . while thaliendir turn to predecessors for help during quest , and especially 12th era predecessor - lovingly now refer as sheo - communications would begin to falter as thaliendir try to hold onto mortality and shut out this new truth of self . inverse of mantle situation - if thaliendir can sufficiently act as ordinary mortal bosmer , then perhaps nirn will believe this to be so and allow thaliendir to hold on , despite arguably break coldharbour compact .

unfortunately , said " innocent misfires " start to get very , very old , especially as effects increase in oddity . while thaliendir is arch-mage of arcane university , this lack of control over power put position at risk . thaliendir still mostly neglect isles and spend vast majority of time in cyrodiil at this point , but look to sheo for help . bitterness ensue - supposed to be lovers , thaliendir , why only seek out for help now ?
even so , sheo agree to help , if somewhat in hope that this control will help thaliendir to refocus and embrace this new nature , with faces as well . with this help , thaliendir is able to regain standing in arcane university , not yet to give up position .

thaliendir further work on control over powers , and as well , predecessors gain ability to impose upon senses . there is some good to this , in that thaliendir learn more about these powers , how to use , and how to control - and predecessors no longer have to wait for thaliendir to answer call , with new ways to interact , and start to heal some of strains .
there is also some bad , in that this excessive control and especially suppression seem to have terrible effects on shivering isles . passage of time is haywire , come dangerously close to freeze at times - and who is to say what would happen then ?

thaliendir take these years away from cyrodiil to rekindle relationship with shivering isles - confront some of deepest pains and fears , embrace aspects which try to push away , and make efforts to freely use powers while in isles and embrace sheogorathean life .
at this point , there is one visible change - streaks of grey start to appear in hair . internally , relationship with sheo is able to fully get back into groove of lovers , and remain this way even as thaliendir still make travels back to cyrodiil .

while thaliendir continue to suppress outward expressions of nature during time in cyrodiil , also make point to take trips back into isles and let everything out . over these years , whole hair become slightly lighter and duller in shade . as well , while thaliendir always have somewhat flighty , absent mind , this start to become even more apparent - slightly more forgetful , slightly more tangential in communications .
late into this period , standing with arcane university is at risk again , as thaliendir start to make mistakes and bad judgment calls . this time , thaliendir choose to step down and pass along , aware that things will only get worse from here - save reputation now , rather than run into ground .

during risky exploration with henantier , henantier sustain spinal injury . while thaliendir was able to hold together in short term with restoration magics , henantier would never fully heal and come to rely on wheelchair . bravil hardly have infrastructure to support , but thaliendir and mages guild associates fight for henantier and changes of infrastructure .
during this time , thaliendir was not able to make near as many trips to shivering isles - alongside help with basic life tasks , henantier need to relearn control over magic , as well as learn new spells that might be able to help where infrastructure fail . though shivering isles do not suffer nearly as badly this time , there is still visible change in vibrancy of plant life , which only recover as thaliendir is able to resume regular trips .
( gap to fill in . through later years of this gap , thaliendir start to lose some sense of mortal identity - memories begin to feel distant and name no longer feel like fit quite right . )

this period can be define with crises - mid-mantle crises , specifically . grasp on mortal identity falter further and further , yet sheogorathean identity do not feel right either . which one is more right , which one is more wrong ? is there any answer to this question ?
during time in isles , thaliendir retreat to some of darkest reaches of dementia , often with company of neratia - uncharacteristically cheery mazken woman who become close friend and confidant . inversely , during time in cyrodiil , thaliendir seek out bright and beautiful views , in attempts to reconnect and reawaken mortal aspect ... but nothing quite compare to lands of mania anymore .

crises lessen in severity as thaliendir accept isles and sheogorathean nature . while thaliendir up until now find relative discomfort in treatment as god , somehow ... somehow this start to feel more comfortable . still chastise those who seem to present self as unworthy maggot , but bristle less and less when people say lord sheogorath .
of course , thaliendir is not in isles permanently just yet - still have friends out in cyrodiil , places to see , things to do . and , even while mind grow more and more unstable , intend to carry out as much as possible , to hold back as much sheogorath as possible , and simply be mortal madman .
at this point , everyone who meet thaliendir in cyrodiil understand screw is loose somewhere , but very few question further . henantier , however , start to wonder - best friend , after all . thaliendir was always unconventional , always something of madman in eyes of society , and maybe start to go off-kilter several decades ago , but really fall apart these last few years . ( what is this ? why is this ? will thaliendir be OK ? start to research as much as possible , in hopes to save from fate . )

while time was split fairly even for these last 25 to 30 years , scales start to tip in favour of time within shivering isles . thaliendir's life in cyrodiil slow down - already see many of things which want to see , explore many of worthy explorations , and ... well , by this point , many of shorter lifespan friends either dead , or very near so .
meanwhile , while thaliendir remain secretive about location of these trips and never allow anyone to see , henantier manage to finally catch one , and heart sink . if thaliendir make some kind of deal with sheogorath ... then there is no way to come back from this . will descend further , and further , and further still , until eventual death . though henantier is not sure of exact details , become very clear that time with thaliendir tick away .
henantier commit self to enjoy every second with thaliendir possible , to treat as always treat and love as always love .

last year in cyrodiil . madness and instability only increase through years - and while thaliendir is perfectly fine with this , as this is what sheogorath obviously should be , other people ... well , other people mourn , like thaliendir is lost and gone - apart from henantier , anyway , who try hardest to embrace changes . lovely man , huh ?
one day , lord sheogorath sit happily in throneroom . while dancer dance , and violinist violin , all manner of music and laughter - oh , lord sheogorath would like more , yes . everyone else , stop - violinist , faster ! violinist of course protest - arms might not keep up , lord sheogorath , and these strings might snap .
... lord sheogorath look on with confusion , and insist - faster , please . so violinist try , and indeed struggle to keep up , but lord sheogorath is so amuse ! again , faster ! faster still , come on , keep up ! violinist reach brink of tears , desperate to stop - and true to word , one of strings snap , and then another . too much pressure , too much speed , too much abuse on this poor instrument .
when this poor woman is left to cry and plead for forgiveness , lord sheogorath sit in regretful silence . how ... how could fellow musician thaliendir forget something so obvious , that instruments break under pressure , that such beautiful music can result in such terrible pains ?

yes ... sheo is right . if able to forget such basic truths , then mortal time is up - might forget something even more obvious , even more basic , and kill someone . lord sheogorath is prone to such near-fatal mistakes already , do not need for thaliendir to be as well .
with final trip back into cyrodiil , thaliendir pack up what is left of mortal memories to take back home , and leave one final note for townsfolk to discover .
though this is not declaration of death , henantier would hold service in memory - thaliendir will never return , that much henantier could be certain about .
