dancing in the faerie ring

sort of wonder if more indulgence in specifically child-like pretend games would help with conviction and sense in real magic and real faerie senses ...

hard to explain - not as if these things actually just pretend , but conviction and sense both skills that need not only build but then also practise . and if one only practise when need , then like any other skill , things can get pretty hard , easy to feel stagnant ...
but , not all things call for real magic , and not all situations have grand faerie activity to sense . plus , constant attempts can just burn out - especially if shaky conviction is reason why need practise , feel like struggle for no reward . pretend games ask for some conviction , but generally much less energy input than real deal , with hopefully less knock-on effects .
