thoughts on how to trance

some people define trance as without thought at all ... kossai can not agree with that , even trance often have thoughts - but these thoughts can feel different . lighter than usual thoughts , maybe happier or sillier , or just like leaves on wind ... aware , watch drift , but never stay for long .
in any case , trance can be full experience in self , or might choose to go deeper , meditate and explore mind more intensely . so not full how to on all possibilities here , just more thoughts on find trance in first place .
method 1 - make environment .
most important for this is right music and sound .
this is something ideally without words , or at least without clear ones that force mind to focus in and understand . this could be whispers , mantras , or other " muddy " words , with voices that overlap , echo , or pan between ears . here is playlist with kossai favourites , for maybe better idea .
next would be , visual . often prefer animations with rainbow hue shifts for this , something where object both move and change in colour - but traditional spirals will do , as will anything short , repetitive , and predictable .
from this ... watch , and breathe .
try not to get distract - if hair fly into face and get uncomfortable , of course move this hair back , but do not look and try answer to notifications or such . if this temptation is hard to fight , then might also want something small to keep hands on without focus away , like worry stone .
method 2 - make … something !
this trance is often different from first , but still work very well and can , like any trance , be gateway to deeper experience .
and , well , simple to explain , right there in name : make something . something repetitive that do not need too much thought . maybe play scale on instrument again and again , hand stitch straight lines in fabric , or mindlessly stamp shapes from ink pad to paper .
choose skill with decent confidence for this , and not something that use machinery to focus on . put preference to small hand tools and light instruments , please .
and then , simply ... do . again , and again , and again .
for kossai , this trance can be sometimes less intense , and easier to lose grip . do not want think too hard about artistic choices , for example - not important where to place each circle or stitch or that hit wrong note , only important that do . not even important to finish - stop when feel like stop .
might find easier hold this trance if take short rest after stop , just focus on breathe and feel fuzzy fulfillment . can return and go again , try to take deeper , or simply enjoy as is .

in trance , kossai have hard time with focus on read , listen , and write , so force too much can distress and wake early .
if distress during trance , that means to take pause and figure out why - then if worth return to trance , or wake up now .
as for how to wake ? pause any material in play or activity in progress , and find something simple to fully engage in - things that need to think about , but not full leap into rocket science . wake can sometimes be slow process this way , but find less disorient .
finally … this is still not all ways , of course . might need to experiment , pick and choose things from different ones . sometimes , might even just need more practise - these states of mind natural , but even nature take work to cultivate . be gentle if this is struggle . :)
